Sunday of Service
On Sunday May 6 we are organising a day for our UNIS Hanoi community to give a Birthday Gift back to our host country by taking part in a Sunday of Service!
Service is central to all that we do at UNIS Hanoi and so what better way to celebrate as a community! This will be a day for all! Families can join with faculty and staff and alumni to participate in a variety of different options;
- Helping the Grade 6 students with their Moonbears project in Tam Dao Moon Bear sanctuary
- Clean Up trip with the Grade 9 team
- Sport & Team Games with local service groups
- Music and Art Activities for children with special needs from the Peace Village Centre
- DIY - Bees Wax Food Covering Project with Grade 5 students
- Learn to read programme - flash card creation
The day will end with an informal gathering at a local family-friendly 'watering hole' to share your experiences and enjoy an early dinner.
The G6 students are currently collaborating with the Animals Asia on eight different action projects connected to the Moonbears Sanctuary in Tam Dao. Volunteers for this activity will be led by the G6 students on a tour of the centre in Tam Dao and help them develop their abilities as Moonbear Ambassadors.
