Elementary School Reading: Students are encouraged to read for pleasure everyday.

Items required for school

  • Daily healthy snack from home
  • School Campus Card to purchase lunch (grades 1  -5) 
  • Sun-hat – students are required to wear a hat in the sun
  • Water bottle 
  • School bag – large enough to carry an A4 folder (stationery is supplied by school)
  • Waterproof library bag (available at The School Shop)
  • PE uniform – UNIS Hanoi shirt and shorts (PE 2-3 times/week)
  • House Animal shirt (for Sports Days)
  • Headset (Kindergarten 2 to Grade 5)
  • Swimming gear – for swim unit in PE (one piece suit for girls, swim shorts for boys, towel, cap and goggles)
  • Change of clothes – for younger children
  • Performance attire – Black trousers/skirt, a UNIS Hanoi Performance Polo (BLUE for Discovery to Grade 3 / WHITE for Grades 4 & 5) and black shoes.
  • National attire – On United Nations Day (November 30) students are encouraged to wear something representing your “national” dress or clothes from a place where you have lived.

  • Grades 6-8 students require a Casio scientific calculator (available at The School Shop)

  • Swimming gear – for swim unit in PE (one piece suit for girls, swim shorts for boys, towel, cap and goggles)

*Note: MS students will be given a school tablet during student orientation. Beginning in August of 2018 all students in Grades 9-12 are required to bring a computer of their choice to school to meet their learning needs.
