While UNIS Hanoi thinks globally, SCO Project Funding helps students,
teachers and parents act locally . . . .

In many parts of the world, adolescent girls miss days from school because they often do not have something as basic as
menstrual hygiene products. Combined with a lack of safe water and adequate toilets, they suffer shame, stigma and sometimes even ridicule. By providing or making something as simple as menstrual hygiene products available, a major barrier for girls is lifted. The Cuc Son Service Learning Group, with a funding of USD 491 under the guidance of Mr. Ted Murphy supported 33 adolescent girls in Cuc Son Orphanage with hygiene products. While the group had already fundraised and provided teaching resources and towels to 130 children under a Tet style initiative, they identified menstrual hygiene as a gap among 33 older girls and wanted to take action. The SCO Project Funding helped fill that gap and supported learning and service beyond the classroom! Here's links to their video.
