During the weekend of March 10 and 11, UNIS Hanoi welcomed more than 170 educators to the 6th Annual Vietnam Tech Conference. The conference alternates between UNIS Hanoi and Saigon South International School and is open to educators throughout asia. The conference theme was Take the Lead and all activities revolved around how teachers, students and administrators can serve as leaders in their respective schools.
Dr. Shabbi Luthra, formerly the Tech Director for the American School of Bombay and currently CEO of Consilience Learning, delivered a provocative keynote address entitled Future Minding. In essence she spoke of understanding future trends will cause educators ot re-imagine, re-define, re-design and recreate education in order guide our schools into the future.
Workshops covered a multitude of topics that developed deep thinking regarding leadership in our schools. Participants were actively engaged in opportunities to build on current knowledge in order to identify opportunities for teaching and learning in participating schools. Local Vietnamese schools were invited to participate in Vietnamese and English language strands at a reduced fee.
Vietnam Tech Conference 2019 will be held at Saigon South International School in January, 2019.
