Congratulations to all of us, including students, for successfully navigating through the first three days of school. In walking around the school over the last 72 hours, I found students already deeply focused and engaged in learning experiences. Excessive rain, construction fences, and jet lag did not stop learning from happening and I want to thank everyone for helping to get the year started so well.
Our new cafeteria plan seems to have been well received overall so far. There were long lines on the first day and some confusion about how to put money on the card, etc. But the quality of the food was commended to me by many students and I believe Chef Adam and his team are committed to providing an excellent food service programme. Each day he listened to principals, teachers, students and parents and made some adjustments which improved things for the next day. We look forward to the high quality and enhanced nutritional value of the cafeteria food selections delivered in an atmosphere of great service.
We are continuing to work with the community to have a safe and efficient drop off and pick up of students each day at our downsized parking area in front of the Administration Building (B7) and at the Gate 5 area. Thank you for your cooperation.
Best wishes for a good weekend.
