The Feminist Photography Foundation is a MSHS Service Learning group started this year. We have decided to donate our first semester fundraising efforts from the HIWC Bazaar and the WinterFest to Hagar International.
Hagar International was established in Cambodia in 1994 and began working in Afghanistan and Vietnam in 2009. In 2011, Hagar supported 1,100 women and children that were victimized in trafficking, domestic violence and being treated unfairly in Cambodia, Vietnam and Afghanistan. The women found hope in Hagar's programme of assistance and intervention.
The Feminist Photography Foundation chose to support Hagar International because they work with women that are being trafficked and treated unfairly. Since the Feminist Photography Foundation supports women that are facing these things, we decided that Hagar Int. was an organization that deserved our support. We look forward a continued relationship with this wonderful organization.
