A throwback shoutout on a huge pre-Tet community cleanup effort by Keep Hanoi Clean in which UNIS Impact Fund Grant proudly supports partial funding for this event.
Despite challenges of COVID-19 outbreak and poor weather before Tet, their determined volunteers still helped make the event a great success, prevent thousands of plastic bags from being released into Hanoi’s rivers and lakes on Vietnamese traditional Kitchen God Day. Everyone’s efforts were paid off, with nearly 860kg non-recyclable trash, plastic bags and recyclables collected from 2 lakes and 4 bridges intercepting them from entering Hanoi’s waterways.
This is only one of many projects that are granted funding from the UNIS Impact Fund Grant.
The UNIS Impact Fund Project Grants are designed to support individuals or small groups with risk-taking, piloting, prototyping ideas or advocacy. Applications for Grants are open all year.
