Last week our Grade 4 students enjoyed a guided tour of our new Cultural Collection as part of their research for their final unit of inquiry investigating the central idea: “What we preserve influences future generations.”
The permanent exhibition of more than 100 of our artefacts in our Ly Thai To Learning Centre has been designed as an educational collection to inspire learning through the lens of Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage.
Each artefact is linked by QR code to a detailed fact sheet and all our objects have accompanying videos, created by our Grade 7 students at the start of the year.
The exhibition was officially launched following the Spring Break, recognising the extraordinary contribution to our learning community made possible through philanthropy and to celebrate this wonderful addition to our campus leaning resources.
We are grateful to Ms Nhung Nguyen and Dr Mark Rapoport of 54 Traditions for their founding gift of 204 artefacts, and Mr Lam-Ms Huyen Family with their support in the installation of this beautiful exhibition.
We look forward to inviting community members to visit the exhibition and in the meantime we hope you enjoy the visit virtually with this short film:
