Each year parents, faculty and staff, alumni, and friends of UNIS are asked to make philanthropic gifts to our school. These contributions supplement tuition income and enable the school to address immediate needs and priorities. Annual giving is a crucial component of UNIS Hanoi's fundraising efforts, enabling us to provide exceptional education to our students. These gifts support initiatives that would otherwise be impossible, sustaining our mission and shaping the future of our students, faculty, and programs. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference.

Everyone has the opportunity to make a difference at UNIS Hanoi. Fundraising is a collaborative effort that unites our school community, including students, parents, faculty, alumni, corporate partners, and community members.

We also welcome gifts from individuals outside of our immediate community who share our vision and want to contribute as friends of the school. Your generosity, regardless of the amount, is a testament to the power of philanthropy and its ability to transform lives.

Greatest need gifts provide UNIS with the greatest degree of flexibility to respond to needs that arise throughout the year. However, donors may direct their contribution to one of our giving designations: learn, grow, and thrive.

Yes, you can choose to keep your gift anonymous. If you choose to do this, your gift must still be recorded in our systems, but your name will not appear publicly. We will always respect your decision to remain anonymous. You can indicate your desire for anonymity when you make your gift.

Every gift, regardless of size, makes a meaningful difference at UNIS Hanoi. Your generosity, no matter the amount, contributes to a collective impact. When you choose to support UNIS Hanoi, you join a vibrant community of donors who share a belief in the power of education. At UNIS Hanoi, we value participation and encourage everyone in our community to contribute at a level that is comfortable for them. Even a single gift of $10 or $20 can make a tangible difference—for example, your gift could cover the cost of art or sport supplies for one of our scholars.

With more than 750 families, 350 faculty and staff, and over 1,300 graduated alumni in our UNIS Hanoi community, the collective power of small contributions can lead to significant impact. For instance, if all of our parents, educators, and alumni graduates each gave $20 this year, it would generate an additional $63,000 for philanthropy. This would be enough to support a full scholarship to UNIS with enough left over to buy 60 solar panels! So please know that your gift, big or small, plays a vital role in shaping the exceptional learning experience we provide for our students and enhancing our mission

Philanthropy is an deeply personal decision: a reflection of our beliefs and values. Giving is not either/or. We ask that as you consider your philanthropic priorities and create a portfolio of giving for your family, please consider giving back to UNIS. By supporting UNIS, you are investing your own children's educations and in the future of our next generation of leaders, empowering them to tackle the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

If you are a US taxpayer, you can partner with Give2Asia to receive a tax receipt and take advantage of tax benefits on your US taxes. There is no facility for tax benefits on donations made in Vietnam.

At UNIS Hanoi, we believe in ethical fundraising practices. We have clear rules in place to protect the reputation of our school and the rights of our donors. For example, in line with UN policy, UNIS Hanoi will not accept gifts from private sector partners or individuals that are involved in “human rights abuses, tolerate forced or compulsory labour or the use of child labour, ...the sale or manufacture of anti-personnel landmines or cluster bombs [or] Business Sector entities violating sanctions established by the UN Security Council.” (UN Secretariat November 2009)

In addition, admissions decisions are based solely on publicly expressed criteria. We evaluate all applicants fairly and objectively. This means that donors and their families do not receive preferential treatment in the admissions process.
