Employment

We are a United Nations school inspired and guided by the principles of the United Nations. We seek staff and faculty who are excited by the challenges and opportunities of integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into all facets of teaching and learning. UNIS Hanoi recruits staff and faculty with a reputation for excellence and who demonstrate our values in both their professional and personal lives. Our Service Learning programme is central to our Mission and involves all of our students and teachers in contributing to our Vietnamese community. We are a non-profit international school where revenue is reinvested in our professional learning and campus development. We are also a co-curricular school where activities beyond the classroom provide a critical balance to our academic programme.

We have over 300 members of our team with slightly more than half (52%) hired from overseas, and slightly less than half (48%) locally recruited. We are an IB World School with 61 Elementary School teachers, 38 Middle School teachers, and 42 High School teachers. Our faculty are diverse, coming from over 20 different nationalities. We recruit experienced teachers: our staff have an average of more than 16 years of experience in education, and 68% of our faculty and administration team have a Masters or Doctorate.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice

We believe that our students reach personal and academic excellence when they are part of a supportive community that values and champions diversity, equity and inclusion and advocates for social justice as a core value. This commitment is anchored by having a faculty and staff who reflect the beauty of our diverse world. As such, we encourage applications from all educators with the relevant certification and experience, including those who identify as BIPOC, educators with (dis)abilities, LGBTQ+ educators, and others of diverse backgrounds to apply to join our UNIS Hanoi community.
