The United Nations International School of Hanoi (UNIS Hanoi) is excited to be hosting our popular Summer Programme for current Early Years 3 (3 years of age on the 31 August 2023) to current Grade 8 (age 15) children. Open to both UNIS Hanoi students and students from the wider community in Hanoi, the programme gives young people the chance to explore, connect and have fun while learning.

Students joining the UNIS Summer Programme 2024 will enjoy an amazing activity-based programme from creative arts and crafts and engaging music sessions to sports activities, aquatic games, crazy science experiments and more. Our programme offers students a fully English-speaking environment led by our highly qualified teachers with specialised skills and experience in their fields.

The UNIS Summer Programme 2024 will provide learners with a diverse experience for a fun start to the summer, full of exploration and learning. Activities will run from 8:30 to 15:00 (Monday through Friday). Parents can register for one week or both weeks.

WEEK 1: Monday 17 to Friday 21 June

Summer Programme Fee

The Summer Programme fee includes:

A delicious and balanced lunch
Two healthy snacks
A special UNIS summer programme t-shirt
A swim bag
A UNIS Hanoi baseball cap
All learning materials (art supplies, musical instruments, stationery)

We also provide a return bus service from selected stops across Hanoi to the UNIS Hanoi campus (within 15km) for a small additional fee.

What will my child learn?

Activities like music, painting, swimming, team games, and reading are just some of the highlights of the UNIS Summer Programme for your children.

They will practice singing or playing an instrument during music class, and they will create works of art such as paintings or sculptures during art class. They will gain water confidence via swimming instruction, and coorperation and sportsmanship skills through team games. Last but not least, students' reading and writing abilities will be strengthened through participating in literacy exercises.

Your children will have a great time meeting new people and learning new things, all while discovering what they enjoy doing.

Who are the Summer Programme teachers?

Our summer programme teachers come from our existing Faculty and Staff members at UNIS Hanoi. They are passionate and dedicated teachers who are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all students. They come from a variety of backgrounds and have a range of skills and expertise, including science, sports, arts, music, and beyond.

Our educators have received extensive training in a wide range of topics, including child development, behavior management, leadership, and safety, in addition to their specific areas of expertise. Your child will enjoy and thrive in a welcoming and inclusive environment here at UNIS Hanoi.

What will my child eat?

Students will enjoy a variety of nutritious meals and snacks that are designed to meet their dietary needs and preferences. The food at the UNIS Summer Programme is healthy, balanced, and tasty, and is prepared with fresh ingredients.

Snacks will be a selection from fresh fruit and healthy treats. Lunch will include a variety of options such as sandwiches, salads, pasta, rice, vegetables, and protein sources such as chicken, fish or tofu. Vegetarian and vegan options are available as well. Please let us know of any specific allergies.

Do you offer a discount for returning students?

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Placement will only be confirmed upon completion of payment in full. Payment must be made during the Summer Programme sign up/registration period.

Cancellations before 20 May will be entitled to a full refund.
Cancellations after 20 May and before 3 June will be entitled to a 50% refund.
Cancellations after 3 June will not be entitled to a refund.

Please be reminded that the optional transportation fee after 3 June, 2024 is non-refundable.
