Gaia Exhibition
The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.
— Robert Swan, Polar Explorer and Environmentalist
About
In Greek Mythology, Gaia is the personification of the Earth, and this unique art installation pays homage to the beauty and complexity of our planet. Gaia is a touring artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram. Measuring six metres in diameter and created from 120dpi detailed, imagery from the Visible Earth series by NASA, of the Earth’s surface, the artwork provides the opportunity to see our planet, floating in three dimensions.
