We’re excited to share the inspiring story of Heedong Cho (Class of 2023) who is about to begin an incredible new chapter in his educational journey. Heedong was recently awarded a whopping $180,000 scholarship to attend Tetr College of Business—a forward-thinking institution that offers a global business programme unlike any other. At Tetr, students don’t just study; they get to live and learn in different countries, gaining hands-on experience with real-world business challenges. It’s the perfect environment for someone like Heedong, who has always been global-minded and eager to make an impact.
Looking back on his time at UNIS Hanoi, Heedong shares how the school shaped his path. "UNIS Hanoi taught me to be a lifelong learner," he says. The emphasis on critical thinking, internationalism, and understanding different cultures gave him the confidence and skills to thrive in Tetr’s programme. It’s not just about textbooks—it’s about stepping into global markets and learning by doing.
Heedong’s journey to Tetr wasn’t just about academics, though. His leadership of the MLV Ignite startup–which offers programmes to teach high school students essential entrepreneur skills, a venture UNIS Hanoi supported, played a big part in building his confidence and leadership skills. That experience was a key factor in his application to Tetr, and he’s clear about the impact UNIS Hanoi had on his path: "If it weren’t for UNIS, I wouldn’t have known about Tetr," he says.
At Tetr, Heedong will take the international perspective he developed at UNIS Hanoi and put it into practice as he navigates the world of global business. He’s about to travel the world, learning in real-time, and we couldn’t be prouder of him.
