The second annual FUNd RUN (and Walk!) was a fabulous success!

Thanks to more than 200 runners of all ages joining in the event on Saturday both here in Hanoi and across the globe we raised 1,314 USD!

It was a great family afternoon at UNIS Hanoi and also celebrated by alumni accross the globe, taking part in the new 'virtual run'. Alumni were invited to run with us, wherever they are in the world, at whatever time they could join in. Our community members ran in Virginia, Michigan and Pennsylvania, USA, and Singapore. But for one dedicated alumnae parent, it became a post-midnight mission!

Liz Burgess (Alumni Parent) stayed up until 3.00am so that she could run in the USA at exactly the same time that the current community members were all running here in Hanoi! "I knew that it was the only way to get people to sponsor me, and so I ran up and down my street 25 times in the middle of the night!" And thanks to Liz's efforts the Scholarship Fund received a boost of more than 200 USD from global donors!

This event was made possible for the community by our dedicated volunteers. THANK YOU to our volunteer team leaders (Malin, Sarah, Molly, Dan and Duc) and to all those that helped on the day with marshalling the course, recording finishing times and for cheering on our runners.
