STEP 1: SUBMIT THE ONLINE APPLICATION

a. The completed application form will introduce your family to admissions.

b. Information will be shared with the family about the following:

  • Admission status based on the availability of seats
  • Grade allocation placement based on age placement guide versus academically continuous grade levels. priority lanes and policy caps

STEP 2: COMPLETE THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

a.  Submit ALL of the required checklist documents on the Admission Portal. 

b. Pay the non-refundable application fee and confirmation has been received by the business office.

c. Complete the application requirements within one month. Incomplete applications will be cancelled. 

STEP 3: APPLICATION REVIEW BY THE ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE

a. Assessments (if necessary) are scheduled either on campus or at your child’s school.

b. Results of the assessments and completed application will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee to determine admissibility.

c. Admissions decision communicated to the parents:

  • If space is available, enrolment will be offered. 
  • If space is not available, the child is placed in a wait status based on the Priority Lanes.

Application Timeline

UNIS Hanoi is a not-for-profit, non-selective school that welcomes applications for placement throughout the academic year. New students are enrolled throughout the school year as placements become available but the majority of families who are withdrawing will depart at the end of the school year in June. Due to the admissions policies it is not possible for us to guarantee placement in advance for each child who applies. The possibility of placement is based on the number of student withdrawals, priority applications and availability of places within our EAL and Learning Support programmes, all of which influence the number of vacancies in each age group. Families of returning students must complete re-enrolment requirements by early March, at which point the admissions office can begin to offer placement as the number of student withdrawals can be confirmed. Once withdrawals are confirmed, admissible applicants will receive notification as soon as possible.
