The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) at UNIS Hanoi is a comprehensive educational program designed for students aged 11-16. The MYP programme provides a challenging and inquiry-based curriculum that promotes critical thinking, communication, and global awareness.

At UNIS Hanoi, the MYP programme is an integral part of the school's mission to develop well-rounded, internationally minded learners. The programme is taught by highly qualified and experienced educators who use innovative and interactive teaching methods to engage students in their learning. The curriculum is divided into eight subject groups: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Physical and Health Education, and Design.

The MYP programme at UNIS Hanoi encourages students to explore their passions and interests, while also developing skills and knowledge that will prepare them for further education and life beyond school. Students engage in interdisciplinary learning, which allows them to connect knowledge across different subject areas and to see the relevance of their learning to the real world.

Grade 10 Personal Projects

One of the unique features of the MYP programme at UNIS Hanoi is the Personal Project that students complete in Grade 10. This project allows students to choose an area of interest to develop an independent inquiry. Students work in groups to plan, develop and implement a project that addresses a real-world issue. This project is an excellent opportunity for students to develop their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills while making a positive impact on their community.

UNIS Hanoi is committed to providing a holistic education that promotes academic excellence, personal growth, and social responsibility. The MYP programme is an essential part of this commitment, and it prepares students for the next stage of their education and beyond. Students who complete the MYP programme at UNIS Hanoi are well-equipped to succeed in the IB Diploma Programme, other academic programmes, and in life beyond school.
