Last week, students in Grades 6 and 7 attended a workshop in the library with Visiting Author Cat Weatherill. Cat is the author of numerous books, including Barkbelly and Wild Magic. A storyteller and traveller who loves visiting schools and engaging with young people, Cat has been on a multi-country tour visiting many schools in the region. Grade 6 students learned some tips and tricks for writing figurative language, while Grade 7s learned how to write an engaging opening to a story.
