Winterfest was back this year, with booths and activities in full swing! Thank you to everyone who attended, led booths, organized the event, performed, hosted activities, cooked food, set up decorations and lights, and so much more.
This year, we had 43 student-run-booths, five run by adults, and more than 1,000 people in attendance.
A phenomenal total sum of 126,271,000 VND was raised for our service partners.
We had contributions from students across the whole school, including fun activities, games, food stalls, student-made gifts and treats, second-hand UNIS clothing swap, and absolutely amazing musical performances! Some groups ran activities along with their service learning partners, including Winterfest activities with students from Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation and a Learners4Learners English Language “Winterfest Immersion” Lesson. All groups put a great deal of work into the event, which was clearly evident in the buzz that was felt while walking around.
Now that Winterfest is back in action, we know we can extend invitations to all UNIS community members to run booths for school groups, service learning partners, and non-profit projects within the school.
After this year’s event, the Service Learning groups are already brainstorming exciting Winterfest possibilities and booth ideas for next year. We can’t wait to see what develops!
Thanks, again, to everyone for your support and energy. The UNIS Hanoi spirit was definitely felt by our student organizers, and they are looking forward to continuing to engage our community in their work in the year ahead.
