A HUGE shout out to our Band Director Mr Scott Harbin and the Arts Assistant Ms Lien who have helped create our first collaboration with the Vietnam Youth Orchestra, ably led by Mr Phuc. Our concert on Thursday night (30 October) was well attended and the audience enjoyed a number of pieces by the UNIS Hanoi concert band, followed by a performance by the VYO, and finally by numbers done in collaboration. 

People were touched by the event. The concert underlined that music has the power to transcend culture and language. In a world with such strife and division at the moment, it was wonderful to see and hear harmony and unity.
