UNISMUN’s First Leadership Meeting with UNIS Hanoi’s Incoming Head of School

Last week, our November 2025 UNISMUN leaders, Olivia Kim, Hailey Kim and Josef Schmidt had a chance to have a meeting to welcome UNIS Hanoi’s incoming Head of School, Dr Elizabeth Gale. 

In this meeting, we introduced Dr Gale to UNISMUN through our structure, values, and had a debrief about the 3 previous conferences this year. Students and teachers participation in UNISMUN was presented, through the videos of past conferences showcasing admin, media corps, leadership team, UNISMUN directors, and committee mentors. UNISMUN’s relationship with the UN is also discussed through the annual Leadership retreat at The Green One UN House (GOUNH) in Hanoi, which for this year, is coming up on 17 May. Our keynote speakers were also honorably mentioned as UNISMUN, in every conference, seeks to educate young scholars by inviting experts from various work fields, including those from the UN. 

After hearing about the UNISMUN experience at UNIS Hanoi, Dr Gale expressed that she wishes to participate and support UNISMUN conferences in the future. Overall, this marked a wonderful start for UNISMUN and Dr Elizabeth Gale and we hope to see her at upcoming UNISMUN conferences!
