UNIS Makes Hanoi a Worth-Living Place
On Sunday 4 December, 25 members of the UNIS Hanoi community including students, faculty and staff joined the tree planting event at Red River bank in Chuong Duong ward, Hoan Kiem District. This Sunday of Service event was a part of an important project leaded by “Vì một Hà Nội đáng sống” (For a worth living Hanoi) network in collaboration with New Zealand Embassy and other non-profit organisations to transform 9000 m2 landfill along the Red River bank into a public park and playground for the community, namely “Senses Garden”.
UNIS Hanoi volunteers planted 300 trees in the “Senses Garden ” using gloves, hoes, shovels. Everyone ended their morning with dirty hands and happy smiles. “I am happy to be part of such a fun meaningful experience for a worth living Hanoi and a better world!”, shared a UNIS Hanoi member.
Look out for the next Sunday of Services events after the Winter Break!
