UNIS Hanoi at Polish–Vietnamese Cultural Event
On Tuesday, 9 December 2025, a group of seven Middle School orchestra students, accompanied by Dr Celine Hong, the Secondary Orchestra Director, had the honor of representing UNIS Hanoi at a special cultural event hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi. The ceremony took place from 16:30 to 18:30 in the historic Thái Học Courtyard of the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, founded in 1070.

The event marked the Opening Ceremony of Identity Acquired, an exhibition by Polish–Vietnamese artist Minh Đàm. Through his artwork, Minh Đàm explores themes of cultural identity, heritage, and the blending of personal narratives across two nations. Following the exhibition, guests enjoyed a performance by the OSP Nadarzyn Orchestra from Poland, whose lively and expressive program highlighted the richness of Polish musical traditions.
This celebration was organized to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Poland and Vietnam - an important milestone in the relationship between the two countries. UNIS students had the unique opportunity to experience this international exchange firsthand, connecting visual arts, music, and history within an authentic cultural setting.
By attending, students gained deeper insight into the significance of diplomacy and cross-cultural collaboration. They observed how music and art can serve as bridges between communities and nations, and they reflected on the value of respectfully engaging with diverse cultural expressions. For many, the event also provided inspiration for their own musical and artistic growth, offering a real-world example of how the arts shape dialogue and understanding across borders.
