UNIS Hanoi Wins 2025 AmCham CSR Award

We are delighted to announce that UNIS Hanoi has been awarded the 2025 AmCham Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award, presented last night at AmCham Hanoi’s annual Gala.

This award recognises organisations that demonstrate a sustained and meaningful commitment to improving the lives of people in Vietnam through ethical leadership, responsible business practices, and community-focused initiatives.

According to AmCham, the CSR Award highlights organisations whose work reflects “innovation, impactful partnerships, and long-term commitment to social responsibility.” As one of only two United Nations schools worldwide, UNIS Hanoi is deeply proud to be recognised alongside leading businesses and NGOs that share a vision of building a more inclusive, sustainable future.

A Recognition of Our Mission in Action
The award honours the many ways UNIS Hanoi lives its Mission, Vision, and Values through community engagement and social impact. Our programmes are designed not just to educate students, but to empower them to become compassionate leaders who actively contribute to a better world.
Key pillars of our community impact highlighted in the award include:

1. The UNIS Hanoi Scholarship Programme
Providing life-changing access to a world-class education for talented Vietnamese students, regardless of financial circumstance. Scholars excel across academics, the arts, and leadership, and many go on to study at top global universities.

2. The Impact Fund
Fuelled by community giving, the Impact Fund supports innovative, student-driven and faculty-led projects that promote sustainability, wellbeing, creativity, and social responsibility. Recent projects have included campus solar expansion, community gardens, and experiential learning enhancements.

3. Service Learning Across All Divisions
From Grade 1 learners identifying needs in their community to High School students partnering with local NGOs on environmental conservation, disability inclusion, and public health, Service Learning is a vibrant and mandatory part of the UNIS Hanoi experience. Students learn to take action, reflect deeply, and develop empathy.

4. Community Partnerships Across Hanoi
UNIS partners with local organisations, charities, and social enterprises to create authentic learning opportunities and long-term impact. These partnerships strengthen civic engagement and help students understand the real-world implications of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

5. A Culture of Sustainability and Responsibility
With initiatives grounded in the UN SDGs, UNIS Hanoi continues to embed sustainability into learning, operations, and community engagement—from reducing waste and improving energy efficiency to modelling ethical leadership.
