UNIS Hanoi Shares IB Results: Class of 2025

HANOI, VIETNAM – July 2025 – The United Nations International School of Hanoi (UNIS Hanoi) is proud to announce its exceptional International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results for the Class of 2025, marking a year of academic excellence, global citizenship, and record-breaking achievement.

With a UNIS Hanoi average of 34 points, our students have once again outperformed the global average by 3.4 points—a powerful testament to the school’s rigorous academic standards, world-class teaching, and personalised student support. This year, 80% of UNIS Hanoi candidates scored above the IB world average, with 97% successfully earning the prestigious full IB Diploma.

Among the many standout achievements, one student achieved a perfect score of 45, placing them among the top IBDP students worldwide.

As for university admission, our Class of 2025 cohort received offers from over 147 universities in 16 countries, showcasing both their global readiness and the international reputation of UNIS Hanoi. Prestigious offers include University of Oxford, NYU, University of California, University of Toronto, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, ESSEC Business School, Erasmus University and Trinity College Dublin to name just a few!

An IB Education Rooted in Diversity and Depth
UNIS Hanoi continues to lead with its distinctive multilingual and multicultural programme. This year:

  • 39% of candidates earned the highly respected IB Bilingual Diploma, far surpassing the global average.
  • Students completed DP courses in ten languages, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, French, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Spanish, and Vietnamese, showcasing the school’s commitment to linguistic diversity and global fluency.
  • A remarkable 56% of the Class of 2025 studied at least one Arts subject, including four students who pursued two Arts courses—reflecting the school’s belief in the power of creative expression.

Elevating Performance Across the Board

  • A significant 73 candidates earned the full Diploma, up from 55 last year.
  • 88% of candidates scored 30 points or more, up significantly from 66% in 2024.
  • The top 50% of the Class of 2025 earned an impressive average score of 37.45

A Culture of Academic Curiosity
The Class of 2025 demonstrated depth in research and inquiry:

  • 100% passed the Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and CAS components.
  • 65% received A or B grades in TOK, and 53% achieved top grades in the EE, with 19 subjects represented.
  • The Arts were a popular and successful focus area, with 15 students choosing Arts-related topics for their EE.

Personalised and Future-Ready
From self-taught Literature courses to Pamoja online learning and high school subject electives, UNIS Hanoi continues to offer a future-forward model of personalised learning. The number of students enrolled in such bespoke programmes has more than doubled since last year.
