The Dot is a short story by author Peter H. Reynolds. It explores the idea that even a small mark on a piece of paper can be the start of a journey into self expression and creativity.
Last week the whole Elementary School participated in International Dot Day. In art lessons, they used clay to create dot shaped textured discs which will be fired and glazed and then be hung together in the library making a dotty art installation.
We also dressed up for our dot day assembly where we sang the dot song and listened to some Grade 5 students read the story in English and Vietnamese.
