The Middle School Production, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon by Don Zolidis, was performed on April 15 and 16. This was a fast-paced comedy where the 11 Middle School actors played multiple roles in a witty and humorous performance. They exposed the real truth behind the Brothers Grimm fairytales. Who really was Rumpelstiltskin, and why did she fall in love? What really happened to Hansel and Gretel, the “original horror story”? What was the truth behind Cinderella’s success? Who were the dwarves in Snow White and what did “traditional gender roles” have to do with it? All these questions and more were answered in this ensemble-based student production that showcased an extraordinarily talented and dedicated cast.
The production was deeply enjoyed and received great reviews from the audience. Over 100 people attended the show. Due to restrictions at the time of the performance, only Middle School students, immediate family of performers and faculty were able to attend. A big THANK YOU to our student actors and actresses who had worked hard since November 2020 and performed their hearts out.
