In Elementary school, the Vietnamese teachers and students have been so engaged exploring how Vietnamese people celebrate Tết. The students have been eagerly participating in the different meaningful learning experiences to explore Vietnamese culture such as listening to Tet stories, drawing Tết trees “cây đào – peach blossom”, “cây mai – apricot trees”, “cây quất – kumquat trees”, creating different Tet items, making Bánh chưng, and practising for the Tết Assemblies.
On Wednesday, our Elementary community had an exciting time enjoying our special TẾT ASSEMBLY which is always a highlight of our Tết celebration at UNIS. All the students and teachers have had a great opportunity to understand more about Vietnamese culture while listening to the story “Mở ra là thấy Tết – Open to see Tết” and watching the students perform traditional Vietnamese dances, songs and activities to welcome Tết, the most important celebration of Vietnamese people.
“Tết, Tết, Tết, Tết đến rồi”!
We would like to take this occasion to wish everyone a Happy New Year to welcome the year of the Dragon – năm “Giáp Thìn”.
Chúc Mừng Năm Mới!
