Our World is a “Planet with a Fever”, Warns Expert

On Monday (November 23), an international environment expert urged our Grade 6 students to “use their voices” to combat climate change. Dr Alexander Lotsch, who works with the World Bank in Vietnam, paid a visit to UNIS Hanoi to give students an insight into the challenges his team and partner organisations are addressing. He asked the students to think about global warming and its impact, the need to plant trees now for the benefit of future generations, and called on them to play a part by making lifestyle changes that help the environment. In conclusion, Dr Lotsch presented opportunities that lie ahead for our young students to contribute to their future and the “challenging decisions” they will have to make to improve the climate and environment.

The presentation comes after Grade 6 completed their Global Issues unit as part of their Individuals and Societies course this year.
