IBDP Art Exhibition Connects with PYPx Students
Grade 5 students engaged with Grade 12 artists about their current IBDP exhibition, eager to understand their idea processes. The seniors presented diverse artworks and passionately explained their creative journeys, illustrating the dedication involved. Prepared with questions, the PYPx students explored how the seniors aimed to create impactful work and convey meaningful messages through their art.
The Grade 12 artists emphasized artistic intention and shared their iterative creative processes, offering practical insights into developing a cohesive body of work and effective presentation strategies. This provided valuable guidance for the PYPx students in their own research. The interactive session fostered a rich exchange, with the younger learners actively seeking advice.
Witnessing the seniors’ passion and understanding their aims to leave a lasting impression deeply inspired the Grade 5 students. The encounter ignited new ideas and reinforced their enthusiasm for their PYPx inquiries, providing tangible role models and a vision of their own artistic potential. The seniors were delighted with the preparation, questions and interest these young viewers brought to their work. This collaboration underscored the school’s interconnectedness and the power of art to inspire.
