Hands-On Learning with Learners for Learners
Hands-On Learning with Learners for Learners
On 13 April, the service group Learners for Learners (L4L) organized one of their last English lessons. In the hour and a half long lesson, the students learned about science lab vocabulary, including science equipment, materials, and measurement units; they also conducted a hands-on experiment with slime. During the process of making slime, many students shared their experiences, expressing joy and delight since this was their first time doing a science experiment.
Learners for Learners is a long established service group that organizes 3-4 Sunday lessons per semester to teach UNIS faculty children English. With the aim of providing equal education for all, L4L members always try to explore different activities to offer a more diverse English experience for the children.
