Grade 11 Navigates Global University Admissions

Grade 11 Navigates Global University Admissions

Grade 11 students had the option to participate in an interactive session geared toward applications to schools in the UK, led by Ms Ashley Sun, a member of the admissions team from the University of Warwick. Students learned about what to look for in a UK university and how to use the UCAS application platform. Ms Sun also provided excellent tips on the changes to the Personal Statement which is required for all UCAS applications. Students were asked to evaluate Personal Statement samples and determine which would be considered most admissible by UK universities.

Students not applying to the UK attended a bespoke session on using the Common App for US colleges and universities as well as understanding decision rounds – Early Decision, Early Action, and Regular Decision. Other students participated in a session with an overview of the Korean University Co-Curricular Form and how to categorize and describe their high school activities. A special AI space was created to help our Korean applicants create the most comprehensive and successful Co-Curricular Form.

Students not applying to the USA, UK or Korea were given time to work on their university research. Students have been made aware that they may have to attend Counselling class twice a week over the next month if they are applying to more than one country.
