UNIS Hanoi’s brand new Secondary School Deputy Principal for Teaching and Learning has real insight into what it’s like to be a student at UNIS Hanoi; as he was one himself once!

Tanay Naik is delighted to return to his alma mater to help shape the education experience he once benefitted from. “There were a few factors that drew me back to UNIS Hanoi” he shared. “Firstly, I know what an international education gives a person and I’m committed to giving this generation the same fantastic opportunities I had. I also love how well the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals are embedded into the curriculum at UNIS Hanoi; it’s not something that other schools do.”

Tanay joins the School following decades working in independent schools across Canada. As a former IB Examiner and IBDP Coordinator, Tanay brings with him extensive knowledge of the IB programme. Working closely with UNIS Hanoi’s Secondary School teachers, Tanay will look to maximise learning opportunities for students whatever their strength may be. 

He added, “Working closely with our teachers, I’ll be examining our current teaching and learning practices to ensure every child can successfully follow their own pathway.”
