After twenty years of teaching around the world, UNIS Hanoi’s new High School Theatre teacher, Georgia Crinis is excited to be working in an ‘incredible’ school in Hanoi.
Joining UNIS Hanoi after a stint in Singapore, Ms Crinis, an Australian national, says she was looking for a school that aligned with her values. She explained, “After two decades of teaching, it became clear to me what mattered and I knew there was a particular type of learning experience I wanted to cultivate. UNIS Hanoi is passionate about delivering a programme that reflects the ideals and principles of the United Nations and I’m committed to that too.”
Ms Crinis will be teaching theatre to students in grades 9 to 12. She describes the MYP and DP courses as both practical and theoretical, offering students the opportunity to understand theatre processes, theatre in context as well as theatre across the globe and throughout time. Ms Crinis will also teach the MYP Dance course to students in grades 9 and 10. What’s more, she will be producing this year’s High School plays - All in the Timing and Time Flies.
"I look forward to working with my students and coaching them to collaborate and create,” she said.
