Designing for Inclusion SENIA Conference 2024

Members of the UNIS parent, faculty, and leadership community attended the SENIA 2024 Conference ‘Designing for Inclusion’ in Ho Chi Minh City in early March. In today’s globalized world, international schools play a crucial role in embracing students from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles. The Designing for Inclusion conference aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the value and impact of inclusive design in education, empowering participants to create learning environments that cater to the needs of every student.

ES Deputy Principal Nitasha Crisha and Secondary Deputy Principal Cheryl Hordenchuk shared the incredible work UNIS has done designing inclusive systems at UNIS and MTSS.   David Celentano, Secondary Learning Support Teacher, shared how he and his team have created alternative pathways for individualized learning.  There was also incredible recognition given to Ms. Dang Thanh Hoa and  Ms. Dinh Thi Tra for their impactful role in translating the SENIA Certified Teaching Assistant courses into Vietnamese.
