Celebrating the M2025 UNISMUN Achievements!

UNISMUN celebrated the conference this week on Thursday with the amazing KeyNote Speaker, Ms Vuyiswa Tuelo.

As an overall 6-8 March 2025 UNISMUN Conference wrap up…Check out our amazing Opening Ceremony that started with a speech from the Secretaries General, performances from the small UNIS Jazz band “The Guys Who Play Music And Stuff” and a very impactful presentation on the Tuol Sleng from Josef Schmidt and Dion Payne.

We also viewed performances from Phoenix HS Concert Band called “Mekong” and the two amazing dances from the UNIS Dance teams (APAC Dance & Georgia Dance). The mesmerizing performances continued on with a final Cloudnine performance and the M2025 Opening Video! Also, watch the Talent Show that UNISMUN hosted with a spectacular range of talent from drumming and piano performances, marshmallow catching, and live band performances! Finally, check at the Closing Ceremony with the performances, the grand handover AND the M2025 Closing Video

During Thursday's general meeting, we had the honor of hearing Ms Vuyiswa Tuelo, the Ambassador of South Africa in Vietnam. She brought in different powerful artifacts that lead students to reflect on the concept of identity and community.

Artifacts included fertility dolls, drums, cups with beads, skirts, and fans. All of the artifacts were highly interactive while reflecting on broader issues and meaning of culture and identity. For example, by looking at the fertility dolls, MUNers were able to understand the preservation of community and culture. The skirts that reflected on identity markers and the powerful nature of politics. It was a meaningful wrap-up to a terrific conference.
