From the very first week of school, Middle School Language and Literature students have engaged in an Independent Reading Programme. The goal of the Independent Reading Programme within the Middle School is to:

• Provide an opportunity for students to set personal reading goals
• Support the development of daily reading habits
• Ensure students are reading a wide variety of text types, genres, and languages
• Ultimately, developing a love of reading.

On 7-8 November, each Grade 6, 7 and 8 Language and Literature class merged and with the support of our Tech Coach, Kimber Cote, and Teacher Librarian, Deanna Howard, students spent a lesson creating a visual representation of a Book Talk.
