Battle of the Books: A Double Win for UNIS Hanoi Teams

On Tuesday, 3 March, our top two UNIS Hanoi Battle of the Books teams traveled to the British International School of Hanoi to compete in the Hanoi Schools Final! They competed against teams from BIS, Brighton College, Concordia, RGSV, St. Paul’s and Westlink. The competition tested their knowledge of the books they read, including a variety of multiple choice, in which book, and open-ended questions.

The students did an outstanding job, finishing in second and third place out of the 14 teams! Catching Fire!, with fifth grader Yukiho, fourth graders Doby, Mao, and Jayden, and third grader Yui, placed second. Team Nothing, with fifth graders Hannah and Mahiro, fourth graders Yosuke and Hanna, and third grader Sarah, followed closely in third. A team from Westlink captured first place this year.

Our students were able to share their knowledge about the ten books they read, make friends with students from other schools, and celebrate their hard work this year! Many thanks to all the parents who came to watch and support their children.
