Author Pranati Bagchi Inspires Young Readers at UNIS Library

The UNIS Library welcomed educator and social entrepreneur Pranati Bagchi on Thursday, 22 May. Pranati’s debut children’s book, A Perfect Wagon for Sunny is a heartwarming story that celebrates the joy of tinkering, problem-solving, and never giving up on those we love. With a little bit of creativity, some trial and error, and a whole lot of love, an 8-year-old girl named Remy works hard to make something special for her beloved dog, Sunny, to make his life better.

All the kindergarten and grade one students attended sessions with Pranati in the library. She read her story to the students and talked about how her own daughter and dog were the inspiration for the book. She encouraged students to design their own wagons for a dog. Students were encouraged to be creative as they drew. Some wagons had multiple floors, others included toys and treats, and some were unique shapes, like a dinosaur! They enjoyed sharing their drawings with Pranati and their classmates.
