A Walk to Remember: Celebrating the ES Blue Dragon Walkathon

What an incredible sight it was! Our first-ever indoor Walkathon was a resounding success, filled with energy, determination, and a whole lot of heart. While the location changed, the spirit of our community remained as vibrant as ever.

We want to extend a massive thank you to all the parents who joined us to cheer, encourage, and celebrate our students. Your presence turned a school event into a powerful community milestone.

At its core, this event is about more than just laps; it’s about impact. Every step taken and every dollar raised by our UNIS Hanoi students goes directly to the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation.

Specifically, these funds are dedicated to sending children to school. There is nothing more inspiring than seeing our students work hard to ensure that other children have the same educational opportunities they do. It truly is a beautiful cycle of “kids helping kids.”

The walk may be over, but the mission continues! Now is the time for students to collect their sponsorship pledges. Here is how you can help:

• Help your child to collect their sponsorship pledges: Donations can be made directly online or via cash. Please ensure any cash donations are documented on the sponsorship form your child brought home.  
• Discuss the Cause: Take a moment this week to talk with your child about the work Blue Dragon does. Understanding the “why” behind the walk helps build lifelong empathy and global citizenship.

The grade level that raises the most money will receive a special ‘lemonade’ party sponsored by two fifth graders – they are inspirational role models within our community.
