Methodist Ladies' College
ECC Gym & UNIS Canteen, 15 September 2006

Today we were privileged to host the Methodist Ladies' College Junior School choir. These young ladies presented two performances; one in the morning for our youngest learners in the ECC and a second performance after lunch for the students of the Elementary and Middle Schools. Both performances were met with rapturous applause as our students responded to the energy and talents of this dynamic touring group. We would like to thank the teachers and student of the Methodist Ladies' College and wish them a safe journey home to Melbourne. We would also like to extend a welcome to them at any time in the future and we look forward to renewing our friendship.

A SYNOPSIS

Join Greeda, Basic Beige and the Box Set as their musical tour takes them not only around the world, but on a journey of self-discovery. The girls’ negotiation of relationships, group identity and self expression is a backdrop for an exciting and energetic catalogue of songs, including numbers by Peter Allen, John Denver and Vivaldi. Whilst our heroine Basic Beige discovers her voice, her apparent adversary learns that popularity and success doesn’t necessarily equal happiness. In the Colour Cool Kids, people aren’t what they seem, but we witness the redemptive power of personal confidence, music and magic.
