Alumni
I was a former Math teacher at UNIS 1996-1998. My wife Andrea Videtic was a grade 5 teacher. We are presently teaching at the American International School in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We have a son Joshua and daughter Elizabeth .
Hi!! Nice to know that UNIS is on the net! Would love to get in touch with my classmates!! About me, I've finished my Masters degree in English and am on my way to Germany.... Received: 22 August 2006
My full name Manpreet Rattan (Nickname: Dimple :-)) After UNIS I went back to New Delhi finishing High School and then to Tokyo where I lived for 9years until last year. I got my BA there in Economics and Business at Temple University which is American and landed a job with Barclays Global Investors as a Fund Manager. Taking a break from the corporate world, I quit my job in late 2003 and travelled a long time in Thailand and Australia. I am now in Germany pursuing an MBA and to be with my significant other. Any UNIS mates in Germany-Stuttgart/Munich/Frankfurt ?? Now any of you ever visit this part of the world (i.e. Germany, Switzerland, Austria and would like to come see Stuttgart, I am making an open invitation to you all that I would love to be your tour-guide and show you around! Many of us are so mobile around the world that it is hard to keep touch with the past sometimes. So here is my little effort to get connected and even if you did were not study with me, I would still be so delighted to hear from you! :-) GET IN TOUCH
I was at UNIS from grade four until I graduated. From there I went on a beautiful long holiday with my best friends from UNIS, then spent a year in Hamburg getting used to the somewhat cooler Germans and doing an internship working with cancer research. Now I've landed in Marburg (quaint little city near Frankfurt), studying human biology, and absolutely loving it. I'd love to hear from lost UNISers, email me! Received: 2 August 2006
Dear All, I am astonished that UNIS has a website. I wasn’t aware of it until my Dad brought it to my attention. He showed me that Patricia has unraveled my existence here in Texas. After leaving Hanoi in ’95, I went back to my international school in Bangkok. I graduated in ’98 and head straight here to Texas. Since then, I only managed to visit Hanoi once which was back in’ 99 when Thai graduated. It was really nice to be able to attend UNIS first formal graduation ceremony. Like Patricia said, yes, it’s true. I am very happily engaged, her name is Marion. I have no plans for wedding yet since both of us are not done with school. I have a lot of good memories of Hanoi: Swedish camp, road trips, partying, and etc. I am glad to see a lot of familiar names on this alumni list, I hope to refresh our good memories and reestablish lost line of communication. Thank you,
This is totally cool!! Mrs. Spence, Mr.Rampersad, Charlene, Preya, Emma and Angelica as well, still miss you all!! I did my 10th grade in UNIS and moved back to Finland. Still living here. After finishing high school, I worked for a few years, also had quite a cool job working as a dealer in a casino. Now I've got at least 5 years ahead of me working on a masters degree in Sport and Health education at the University on Jyväskylä(finally got my self dragged back to school). Cool to hear you all are doing good, so am I!! |
