Alumni
I was at UNIS from grade 5 to grade 8, most amazing years of my life. I met some amazing people at UNIS. I will never forget the time i spent there. If you remember me, and would like to get in contact with me, don't hesitate to email me, or add me to msn. xoxo. Received: 15 June 2007
oh man, can't believe UNIS has an alumini page..it was a sudden thing to look up my old, my absolute favourite school and here I am writing about myself....i had the best time ever in UNIS..come to think of it, this was the only school I ever liked....i don't know ho w many of you remember me, i was the shy indian kid who used to be inseperable from her best friend, Imola (from hungary)..... I moved back to India in 92 where i finished school...then my father got posted to Russia (again) where i completed graduation, also learnt russian from moscow state univ.Came back to India, completed higher studies, went into advertising. Now i'm in Delhi, working as a content writer in a multi-national company. My time in Hanoi is so strongly embedded in my mind, it's strange. I don't know how many of you remember the fire we had (or the nearby school had) and how one day maneesh (i think, not sure) broke a window and how Mr. Graham Cherry got totally pissed.....those were the best times ever I'd luv to hear from u guys ....Imola, Sam Sternin, Sam Blair, Son Kinh, Maneesh, Sonia, oh jeez can't remember the rest of the names but can remember their faces.......but do drop a line....it has been soooo long...ciao for now.
After leaving UNIS in 11th grade, I graduated high school in Korea. Got in to collage, majoring Comuper Engineering. Right now I'm doing a mandatory military service in Korea. Just got promoted to Sergeant. Anyway, I just got 6 more months to go through and hopefully will go back to school, back to my usual life. I'll be really pleased to hear from people who I know...Don't be scared to write me.
I was a student at UNIS from 1995 to 1997. After leaving UNIS I went back to my home country Korea and gradulated high school there. Right now I'm majoring Information and Communication and this is my third year in university. But following the law, I'm joining the army soon for 2 years. Don't hesitate to e-mail me if you remember me alight? It's really awesome finding familiar names on this page and hear from you. Wish to see y'all in Hanoi ~ ;-)
What can I say about UNIS? I was there when we went from small school to bigger and when I left it was still growing. There wasn't a day when there when I wasn't smiling. Ok, I lie, there were many days when I didn't smile but mainly cause it was hot, damn hot. Well I am back in Australia now, where Jodi B and I go to an excellent school, not better, but different. I shouldn't really babble on, I am just finishing a play off and have three more to do this year so thanks to Mizzy Lizzy for sparkin my acting torch. See you later cumber bun.
After leaving UNIS I moved back to my home country, Korea, and stayed there for 2 years. Then my dad got posted to Moscow so I lived there for about 3 years(and got reunited with Disha, believe it or not!) Now I'm Korea majoring Fine Arts, third year in college. Well, that's pretty much it about me. Life in Hanoi was like a paradise to me and it is so great to hear about you guys. So hope we get in touch! (09/02)
Hello All! Unlike Sam, after leaving UNIS I took the long route and did everything backwards! I went to HCMC to finish off my schooling at IGS. Then I traveled back and forth between VN and the US. I then started working for an NGO in Hanoi. In 1997 I got married in Hanoi. My husband Andrew and I have a daughter named Khazana who is 3 years old. In the year 2000 we moved back to the US so I could continue my education. So as of now I am half way through with my bachelor's degree in International Relations. I will then move back to Hanoi to live happily ever after. I hope to see you all then. (03/2002)
After I graduated from UNIS in 2000, I moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. I will graduate in 2 years and then plan to pursue a Master's degree, probably at a different school. I don't when I will be back to Hanoi, but I know for sure that one day, I will live there again! My sister Shauna (above) and I are constantly plotting ways to get back to Hanoi. UNIS is the best school in the world. I will never forget the years I spent there. (Sam, you lucky duck for being able to live in Hanoi!) (03/2002)
hello everyone! though i don't remember exactly which year i started at unis, i do remember that i was in the third grade with mrs. wholley. of course, that was back during the prehistoric years - unis was still using the same building as hanoi's amsterdam high school. oh, and mr. haverkamp was the kind dutch gym teacher who ruled his P.E. classes with an iron fist. i eventually deserted unis and continued into my high school years at the hanoi international school (HIS). albeit the move to HIS *was* a bit of a downgrade, i have no regrets! HIS was the other (more primitive) english-speaking school in hanoi and, like UNIS, it granted me an invaluable experience. we even managed to deliver quite a few humiliating defeats to UNIS on the soccer field and basketball court. no hard feelings! i graduated from HIS in 2002 and, in May 2006, i graduated from northwest university in seattle, usa. i studied communications and political science while at university and i hope to one day live all over the world as a US diplomat. for the moment, though, i'm living happily in seattle and pondering the possibility of law school. i truly hope all my fellow unis alumni are doing well! we may be scattered across the earth, but we've got one thing in common... tam biet for now, Received: 7 June 2006
I was at UNIS for two years, attending 3rd and 4th grade. Those two years have been the best years of my childhood. Unfortunately I lost contact when I left with all you, so if you recognizing me, feel free to email me! Received: 22 October 2006 |
