I was in Hanoi for 6th and 7th grades. Those years changed my life. Cheers! Received:7, November, 2007
I attended UNIS in 1994, and although my time there was brief, I have very fond memories, of the school , the staff and Hanoi in general. When I left Vietnam, I came back to Australia and finished high school, I am now completing a Bachelor of Education and am teaching a Year 1/2 class in rural NSW. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me..... I would especially love to get in contact with Mr. Waters, Ms Thomas, and the people who were in 8th Grade in 1994. Incidently does anyone know what happened to Hanh and Mr Patrick David ( I think they got married) I would love to catch up with Hanh, she was a really close friend. If you dont remember me you may remember my siblings. Julia is finishing highschool in 1 month, Alex in stuiying a Bachelor of Arts, and Ben is completing a Bachelor of Science, anyone from 1994 will remember the incident with Ben and the buffalo!!!!! Mum who also taught at UNIS is now the 'Head of Junior School' at my sisters school and is kept very busy. Mum, Dad and I am planning a trip back to Hanoi in March next year, so we would love to hear from you/ catch up with you...BRING ON A REUNION!!!!! Received: 24 Aug 2006
I was at UNIS the winter of 1995 as a ninth grader. Many of you might remember my sisters Noelani and Kanani (Noelani is engaged by the way). After UNIS I finished up my schooling at the Singapore American School and then went on to uni at Brigham Young University in the U.S. After two years at school, I spent two years as a missionary in Australia for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have just finished my junior year at uni and will be in Hanoi interning for ABN Amro Bank from June 1st to August. If any UNIS alumni remember me and will be in Hanoi this summer, would love to meet up.
After UNIS, I went back to Seoul, Korea to finish high school and begin my university years. Currently I am studying at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada and have a little more than a year to go. I miss the years I spent in Hanoi, especially the last one in 10th grade, and if you remember me, please feel free to email me, I’d love to hear from you!
After leaving UNIS I attended the French school in Hanoi which I left soon due to my miserable French. I then went to school in Germany for two years. After graduating there and working for one year as a civil servant, which is a mandatory community service, I moved to California. Now I am majoring in Economics at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). As you know, the Soccer Worldcup 2006 will be held in Germany. If anybody
wants to take that opportunity to travel to Germany, write me an email,
so we can watch a game together... And if you are not interested in soccer,
email me anyway. |
