Orientation Day for all Families
Saturday, 18 August
New Families: 2 pm
Returning Families: 3 pm
Welcome Back Sausage Sizzle: 4 pm
The School Administration and the Parent Teacher Association warmly invites all new and returning parents to the school on Saturday 18 August for a welcome and orientation for new parents commencing at 2 pm and a chance for returning parents to visit our information tables and their children’s classrooms.

2 pm to 2:30 pm
New Parents and Students will meet in the Canteen for a welcome by the Head of School, Mr. Alun Cooper. Parents will then divide into groups depending on the grade levels of their children
2:30 pm to 3:30 pm
New Early Years Parents and Students (Discovery, Pre Kindergarten and Kindergarten) will move to the ECC Gym to meet Mr Rob Reed, ECC Coordinator. At this time you will be informed of your child’s class allocation and you will have an opportunity to visit class and teaching areas and meet the ECC teachers.
New Elementary Parents and Students (Grades 1 to 5) will meet in the Elementary music room to meet with Mr Atkins and Grade Level Team Leaders. At this time you will be informed of your child’s class allocation and taken to the class areas of your children.
2:30 pm to 3:15 pm
New Middle School Parents and Students will remain in the Canteen to be addressed by the Middle & High School Principal, Ms Lesley Peacock and other members of the Middle School Team of teachers, followed by a tour of the classrooms. Student homeroom allocation will be announced at this session.
3:15 pm to 4 pm
New High School Parents and Students will arrive at the canteen to be addressed by the Middle and High School Principal and other members of the High School administration, followed by a tour of the classrooms. Student homeroom allocation will be announced at this session.
3 pm to 5 pm
Returning Parents and Students will arrive at the school and visit the information tables set up in the Canteen and visit the classrooms and teaching areas of their children
4 pm
The school will be providing a Sausage Sizzle outside the canteen area. This is an ideal time to mix and mingle with new parents and teachers and for students to be reunited and to meet one another.
Information Tables
Information Tables will be organized in the Canteen. These will provide information and answers to some of the questions that you may have prior to the start of the school year and a chance to purchase PE T-shirts and PTA Boutique items (UNIS branded backpacks, agenda/diaries, caps, mugs and swim bags, among other items). We will also be distributing the Parent Student Handbooks at Orientation. Tables will include:
