Tree Planting Ceremony for Grade 12 Students
UNIS, 24 May 2007
In 2005, Grade 12 parents and students got together and decided that, each year, the Grade 12 students should leave behind a gift for the school. To make the new campus more green, they decided that a large tree should be planted each year. This will be a lasting gift and a symbol of life and growth appropriate to the new journey of the Grade 12 students.
This year, the tradition has continued. On Thursday teachers and parents gathered to observe Grade 12 students plant another tree on the lawn outside the canteen.
