Hammerheads Swimmer takes 5th place at
Vietnamese National Championships
Da Nang, 18 & 19 April 2007

On Wednesday and Thursday of last week, Nina Reinhardt of grade 9 took part in the 2007 Vietnamese National Age Group Championships in Da Nang. Vietnamese swimmers of ages 10 to 17 came from around the country to compete in a variety of events over a five-day period. Nina competed in both the 50 and 100 meter breaststroke, setting personal best times in both events and finishing 5th and 6th respectively. Nina also received an invitation to swim in this July’s Vietnamese National Youth Championships in Ho Chi Minh City.

Congratulations go out to Nina from her coaches for her outstanding performance, consistent training and commitment to excellence in what I believe is a first at UNIS; that one of our students competes at their country’s national level.
