Much Ado About Nothing
Shakespeare Society, 12 & 14 March 2007

The Shakepeare Society, an after school activity, recently mounted a production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. The play, which is a set text for the IB English syllabus and one of Shakespeare’s most loved and successful comedies, ran for two nights and played to very appreciative audiences. An afternoon production was also given to grade 10 students, who enjoyed watching their fellows from grades 10, 11 and 12 in sixteenth  century costume. The twenty actors involved report that it was an absorbing and productive experience for them too.

This production raised 4,000,000 VND. which will be used to buy basic food supplies for a local orphanage. A similar activity will run next school year and everyone interested is advised to contact Mrs. Penrose.
