Oliver - Grade 3 & 4 Stars Shine Brightly
Performing Arts Celebration, 31 May 2007
Whilst Oliver Twist, one of Charles Dickens's best-known novels, is a grim account of the life an orphan, last night’s performance was anything but grim.
This Performing Arts Celebration portrayed the full range of emotions
experienced by an orphan growing up in London in the late 1830s.
The obvious delight of our ‘stars’ could be seen on their ‘grubby’ faces as they sang their hearts out, danced as one and acted beyond their years.
Students from the Elementary Drama Club took on the lead roles and spent many Monday afternoons and lunch breaks perfecting their acting and singing.
Well done children. The Teaching Team is very proud of you all!
