The UNIS Hanoi Operation Smile group is back again in
full swing. This year over twenty students from Grades 9 - 12 and three
teachers are involved in a host of activities. On Saturday 11 November
three groups of students visited the Nhat Tan Primary School and demonstrated
to students the importance of dental hygiene, good nutrition and burn
prevention.
More recently students were involved in raising money but selling T shirts,
gift certificates for operations, making hot chocolate and chocolate
covered marshmallows to assist children in need of cleft lip and palate
operations by assisting at a stall at the annual HIWC Bazaar. Their
work has so far raised enough money for at least 8 operations.
