On Saturday 25 November we had our first Donxa visit
for this year. We went to Co Loa to meet the students of the school,
and to visit the nursery. One of our students took bubbles for the children
to play with - which was great fun. Then there were introductions and
the students sang some songs for us.
Finally, we shared some time drawing and using glitter
glue. We left the stationery with the students for use during schooltime.
Our visit to the nursery was a surprise as during the
summer there had been a lot of work done. We were able to help by laying
the soft tile flooring after the summer renovations.
As well as meeting the students, babies, and staff
we were able to find out what how we could help.
Our first projects will be:
Raising money to pay for the lunches of the studnets - it costs
5000 VND per day per student.
Raising money to paint the outside of the school building.
Buying some plastic storage drawers for the nursery.
Helping to paint the inside of the nursery room.
Please look out for our stall at the Christmas Bazaar
next weekend, and other fundraising events during the year. We hope you
will help us with these projects.
